Pickr launches a 30 second weekly roundup (April Fools)

We already have a five minute podcast wrapping the week of tech that was, but starting April 1, we’re doing it in the world’s fastest time yet.

It’s not always easy to get your serving of technology weekly, because much like getting the right serving of daily vegetables, sometimes you need a bit of a helping hand. You can shove all the kale and apple and spinach into a single drink to help, and you can check out a speedy podcast that expedites the whole thing as quickly as possible.

We try to help out with that already with The Wrap, our weekly technology roundup that goes online every Friday, but we’re trying out an even faster approach, though it’s one you’ll need to keep your ears peeled well and truly to pick up on.

The Wrap Express is our experiment in that category, offering a 30 second technology cover-all in a similar vein to The Wrap, but making it faster. Essentially, we’re taking our original idea of Australia’s fastest technology roundup, a five minute podcast covering the week of tech that was complete with reviews, but shoving it into an even tighter podcast size: well under a minute.

The Wrap was originally built around the idea of five minutes being the right amount of time to consume technology news when you didn’t have much time at all, because you could listen to it as you waited for a cup of coffee. But these days, as we’re home, your time mightn’t be yours at all, and so between working from home and being a parent, or just realising you don’t have so much time, that might have shrunk.

So instead, The Wrap Express is a faster take. It’s so fast, it moves at a super fast speed that’s hard to keep up with. Take a listen below and tell us what you think.

UPDATE: The eagle-eyed folks out there have probably realised this is a little too fast to be legit, and it’s April 1, of course, so there’s that. This isn’t real, but you can always listen to Australia’s fastest technology roundup every week here or at Listnr.
