For many of us, social media is an important part of how we use the internet. It could be a simple update to let people know what you’re up to, or something a little more detailed. It might even be a video diary on TikTok and the like.
No matter what you use for social, you have an algorithm and it is probably serving up things you want. It may give you things you do want, but algorithms are known to give you things you don’t as well.
The government is now looking to bring a way for you to “opt out” of the algorithm, thanks to a new rules that will be drafted for use in Australia.
But before that happens, you might want to tame your algorithm so that it’s not that bad. So how do you do that?
