Not every city gets a tap and pay transport solution that works with your phone. Even though Australia’s biggest city (Sydney) has had a credit and debit and phone and wearable friendly public transport option for some time, Australia’s second biggest city (Melbourne) has not, and recent news suggests it’s being delayed again.
What could be the reason?
