Mess detection and cyberpunk-styled lights look set to grace cleaning gear, as Tineco heads in 2026 with style.
No one was surprised more than this reviewer when a tech savvy mop managed to snag a Best Pick at the end of last year, showing just how clever cleaning technology had become.
It turns out the new year might have a lot more in store.
Ahead of the launch of CES, the world’s biggest technology showcase of what’s to come, Tineco has decided to show off what it will be bringing this year, and while some of it is expected, others a little less so.
For instance, there are floor and carpet cleaners exactly as we’d expect, but then there’s also a variation on that theme designed to fold up, or even be used under low furniture thanks to a fold-up hinge design.

Tineco’s Floor One i7 Fold is a floor washer without the vacuum, arriving with a foldable design that allows you to use it to clean under very low furniture, and then use the fold to pack it away.
While folding technology is for sure interesting, a cleaner that can pick up on what needs to be cleaned is probably more curious.
Armed with more bright lighting and an almost cyberpunk and futuristic approach to visuals, the Tineco Floor One S9 Scientist is a rather curious take on cleaning.

Lighting is neat, but it’s not what grabs us; rather, it’s a sensor that can pick up on messes and instruct the mopping system to use higher temperatures to apply deep cleaning of resilient and tough stains.
There’s less lighting on Tineco’s Floor One Station S9 Artist, but it will apparently uses its own take on cleaning to improve what we saw on the S7 Stretch Steam, with high-pressure water jets and a refresh station to refill hot water. How it’s an “artist” we’ve not worked out, but it could just make life that little bit easier for anyone attempting to turn cleaning into an art of sorts.
Tineco notes there are other models on the way, including its standard style vacuums in the Pure One A90S, as well as its carpet-cleaning wet vac in the Carpet One Cruiser, but the sensor tech in the S9 Scientist is the model grabbing our attention.
Like most things appearing at CES, there’s no word on pricing in Australia just yet, but wait a few months and that could happen. We’ll let you know if and when it does.
