Taking a spare screen with you could cost a little less, as the Espresso Lite 15 bundles 15 inches and a more wallet friendly price, plus that magnetic stand we love.
Working from home is no longer the semi-permanent reality for everyone, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be working without a second screen, or even a second desk.
Whether you’re working at home or on the go, there’s a good chance you need more screen real estate than your humble laptop display can provide. It’s just a way of life these days.
There are clearly no shortage of portable screens to step in and fill the void, but one option we’ve been impressed by in the past few years hails from Australia, and has even picked up a Best Pick in 2025.
Over at CES 2026, that same company — Espresso — is talking up what’s next, and the focus this year will be on keeping portable screens more wallet friendly, it seems.

Made in a more colourful plastic casing, the Espresso 15 Lite is a lighter take on the Espresso 15 display we liked, providing an entry to Espresso’s screen range, but keeping the magnetic design and supporting the company’s Stand+.
The stand it ships with won’t be exactly the same, and will be lighter by comparison, but the system is magnetic just like its siblings, and even supports standing up to raise a screen above a laptop.
Espresso hasn’t yet revealed the difference in weight between the stands, but the 15 Lite measures 700 grams compared to the 765 of its Display 15 sibling and 800 grams of the Display 15 Pro.
Beyond this, however, the screen resolution sports the same 1080p Full HD resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, basically making it a less exy version of what Espresso makes today.
“So many people are now discovering the value of portable monitors, which is why we’re launching Lite 15 to meet the needs of a much broader audience,” said Will Scuderi, Co-Founder and CEO of Espresso.
“Lite 15 delivers great value and quality, while adding personality through its bold colour range,” he said.

That colour range consists of five colours, and is distinct to the more Mac-inspired aluminium design of the previous Espresso screens. The approach is still the same, though, with a single USB-C cable connecting the screen to laptops, tablets, phones, and even possibly a game system.
Interestingly, Australia’s Espresso hasn’t yet confirmed pricing for its home country just yet, pricing it at $249 USD to begin with, but detailing no pricing for our neck of the woods. However, with the current exchange rate, there’s a good chance that Espresso’s 15 Lite won’t hit much more than $400, and could possibly be lower.
We’ll let you know what that is as soon as Espresso sends word, and when the company plans on launching the screen locally, which hopefully will be soon, as well.
