Amazon’s Kindle looks set to change things, and owners of older models won’t be happy. If you can’t recall when you bought your Kindle, you might have an older variant that will soon be cut off from buying new books, and worse, if you reset it, the eReader will be cut off entirely.

What’s happening, and can eReaders access books from your local library?

On ABC Sydney Drive, Pickr’s Leigh Stark joins Emma Crowe to talk about that and other forms of old technology, while also diving into screen-free tech your kids can enjoy. From the compact Yoto player to smart Lego, we’ll talk how tech is changing for kids sans-screen, and even touch on a little AI, as well.

Hear this segment from the April 16 ABC Sydney Drive program, kicking in from the 39 minute mark (39.22 to be exact).
