There’s been another mobile failure for Optus this week, as maintenance and technical upgrades took out the emergency services lines. Unfortunately, the situation was more dire than simply a network going down, as heartbreakingly three people lost their lives in the outage.
So what happened, and what should Optus have done? And important, can phones override their need for mobile towers?
