Samsung’s 115 inch TVs are here, but not with Micro RGB

Huge screens are on the way for people with deep pockets and massive walls, as Samsung joins the over-100 inch TV world in Australia.

Living rooms are only so big, but don’t let an obstacle of size stop TV makers, which are pushing on with releases for homes with much larger spaces for screens.

If you have a spare wall or a living space so cavernous that it may as well be an open-plan warehouse just itching for one of the biggest TVs known to humankind, there’s one more to choose from as Samsung offers up its 2025 Neo QLED technology with a massive 4K screen.

Sized at a staggering 115 inches, the Samsung QN90F is a 4K model boasting Mini LED technology and an AI processor to handle upscaling, essentially bringing Samsung’s premium Neo QLED tech to a new size. A very, very big size.

“Australians love big screen home cinema experiences which has contributed to super large screen TVs becoming the fastest growing segment in the industry,” said Simon Howe, Director for Audio Visual at Samsung Australia.

“With the 115 inch QN90F, Samsung Australia has further expanded its super large screen line-up offering more Australians access to big-screen options to suit their lifestyle,” he said.

While Samsung’s addition adds another size to its high-end screens in Australia, it’s worth noting that we’re nearing the new year, which means a new range of TVs will likely be announced at CES in the new year.

There’s no word on what those new screens will be, but a good guess may include what’s being omitted from this release: Micro RGB technology.

Previously announced for Samsung’s large screens in Korea with the US to follow, Micro RGB uses a combination of red, green, and blue pixels in one block to control the colour and backlighting, essentially creating a more complex version of Mini LED.

Given this year’s announcement of Micro RGB, there’s a pretty good bed that next year’s big TVs in Australia will come with this technology, essentially giving an idea of what’s to come.

However, if you’re in need of a big screen to cover a wall in the immediate future, Samsung’s 115 inch Neo QLED 4K QN90F is available for pre-order for $26,999, with release shortly.
