Scammers are always at work trying to relieve you of your hard-earned money, but from July onwards, SMS scams might be a little more difficult to pull off. That’s because sender IDs will work from a registry, making it easier to tell a fake ATO from the real one. But is that it: will people still be as risk of scams even with sender IDs accounted for?

And what’s going on with scam websites pretending to be gambling websites? Telstra has been working to make life easier for people who accidentally run into them on its network, but what about everyone else?
