The last time you bought a TV, it’s entirely possible (and probably very likely) that a big TV would have cost a small fortune. These days, not so much, with the price of TVs falling. So much that a 2.5 metre diagonal TV can be had for under $4000 in 2026.

But while big screens are getting less pricey, the tech inside more expensive models is getting better, as well. What’s happening?
