Telstra subscribers with an iPhone 8, 8 Plus, or iPhone X weren’t able to connect this week, so what happened? Leigh Stark joins ABC to explain.
If you need a tech specialist any day, Pickr’s Leigh Stark is all too happy to help, and while he normally helps on a Tuesday, this Thursday needed a little tech talk, as well.
It all started on Tuesday, as an update went out for three iPhones that saw problems with anyone using the Telstra network. If you happened to use an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X, and were a customer of the Telstra network in some form — be it an official Telstra subscriber or using one of the smaller operators that uses Telstra — all of a sudden, a patch had caused you to lose connection.
No doubt it’s a huge issue, so what happened, who was affected, and what’s the fix?
Leigh Stark joins Ali Moore on ABC Melbourne Drive to explain, as well as talk about a fix for affected customers. Tune into the ABC Melbourne Drive program from January 29 to find out, kicking in at the 1 hour 8 minute mark (1.08.00) to hear it all.
