4BC Breakfast: A $60K phone bill

A politician with a roaming problem racked up over $60,000 in charges on a work trip. How would that happen? Pickr explains.

If you have a mobile plan where overseas travel isn’t considered, you may want to plan ahead of time with some much-needed research.

That’s what Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, may have learned recently, racking up over $60,000 in roaming charges on a trip in 2025.

So where did it all go, and is it really possible to spend that much on mobile charges abroad?

Pickr’s Leigh Stark joins 4BC Breakfast with Dean and Sofie to explain on the February 10 broadcast (below).
