One of the popular gaming platforms for kids could find itself under the social media age ban, as Roblox deals with complaints from the government.
The Social Media Age Assurance policy more commonly known as the “Social Media Age Ban” is in effect, and while its not yet known whether its working to truly prevent kids from using social or improve their lives, it could have another platform in its sights: Roblox.
More a gaming platform than a social network, Roblox is at risk of being classed under the social media regulation due to complaints against it for being accessible to predators following reports of grooming.
It’s definitely a situation, and one that Roblox’s own features aimed to deal with, so what’s going on?
