Scammers are out for your money, but what happens when they operate a store? It might not be real. Pickr explains why.
You know the holiday shopping season has well and truly kicked in because everyone is advertising sales. Emails and text messages and ads aplenty. You might even find a story or two you like written by someone gathering the best places to find things.
But what happens when you’re shown a possible local store in social that looks real. How do you know if it is? How do you know it’s not a… ghost store?
Pickr’s editor Leigh Stark joined ABC Queensland Afternoons with Kat Feeney to talk all about the spooky shops that are ghost stores and how they connect to scams on the November 27 program. Tune into the 44.30 mark to catch the story.
