Logitech folds a new mouse in Mobi Fold

A new mouse that won’t impact your pocket or carry bags is on the way from Logitech, as it folds into something truly compact.

Have you ever glanced down at the mouse on your computer and thought “yeah, you could be smaller”? Us neither, but never mind because technology has an answer.

Looking a little like the Microsoft Arc made modern, the Mobi Fold doesn’t feel that new, provided you’ve seen Microsoft’s Arc mouse from 15 years ago (this reviewer has). There’s a similar flat style, only Logitech is also adding a hinge to make the mouse fold up, which also makes it a little more pocket friendly.

Whether a mouse needs to be pocket friendly isn’t a question that is probably regular asked, but Logitech’s Mobi Fold is answering it anyway.

The mouse is flat when used and folds with a hinge when ready to be taken with you, providing a reduction in size and a properly ambidextrous design. It also means if you go somewhere with a tablet, the mouse’s compact size can be used with that, as well.

It’s also the first Logitech input device (keyboard or mouse) that works with Google’s Fast Pair Certified, meaning it should be a practically instant connecting to Chromebooks, or even an Android phone or tablet. Maybe a foldable.

Outside of the compact design, the Mobi Fold has been designed to let you connect it up to three Bluetooth devices, and to switch between operating systems easily, while folding it close also switches it off. That’ll help with battery life, though Logitech suggests up to 30 days of use from a charge, with a mere one minute of recharge providing up to 22 hours. Handy.

The price is where things are a little high, with the Mobi Fold a $130 mouse, and a business equivalent for $20 more at $150 in Australia. The main difference between the two is the Mobi Fold for Business comes with a USB-C dongle, while the regular Mobi Fold is Bluetooth only, heading to stores shortly in both variations.
