Normal TV sizes typically start at 55 inches, but a similarly sized screen for your desktop is now a possibility, too.
CES is usually home to TV launches, and we’re certainly seeing a good assortment of those, but it’s also home to devices that are like TVs, but aren’t.
For instance, there are projectors launched at the event, and glasses with visual displays inside, and then there’s what’s needed for your desk, as monitors turn up at the world’s largest yearly technology showcase, as well.
Much like how massive TVs are a big deal this year, so too are massive monitors, with Dell showing off sizeable screens alongside its return to the XPS name and range.
Part of the company’s “Ultrasharp” range of screens, the new monitors are a little bigger than the screen we’ve seen at CES this year from Australia’s Espresso. That display maxed out at 15 inches, but is made for workers on the go, able to take their screen with them and use it wherever.
Dell’s latest Ultrasharp displays are anything but portable, and will need to stay put because of their size.

First, there’s a 32 inch screen running Quantum Dot OLED technology, essentially providing the lab-grown organic light emitting diodes for vivid colour and real black, with the quantum dot technology enhancing the colour further.
Dell has improved the UltraSharp 32 with 4K resolution and an Anti-Glare coating, but it also has a built-in colorimeter, essentially telling you the screen is made for creative professionals.
Armed with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4K Ultra HD resolution, the U3226Q monitor offers 94 percent of the Adobe RGB gamut, 99 percent of the DCI-P3, and 100 percent of the sRGB, with ports for Thunderbolt 4, USB, and even Ethernet.
That’s sure to be impressive for creatives, but if they have even more room, they might be inclined to look at a bigger screen. A seriously bigger screen, at that.

At 51.5 inches diagonally, you may as well just round Dell’s UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub U5226KW to be a 52 inch screen, because it is.
Curved and offering 6K, it’s apparently the world’s only 52 inch 6K screen, and basically provides a massive display to view at, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and support for up to four PCs connected to it at once.
The technology on this massive screen isn’t quite as high-end as an OLED panel, with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) screen used instead. But it’s made to be big, and made fire people who want to see several inputs at once, and importantly have the space to do it.

It also comes with an equally sizeable price tag, and is one of those rare items that actually has a price and date for Australia, set for release this week for $3666, or $3982 in New Zealand.
Meanwhile, the Dell 32 inch 4K QD OLED monitor will be priced later, set for release in late February this year.
